Emmett Moore’s New Scam: Extortion
Above all, Emmett Moore is a criminal.
First of all, he may claim to have your best interest in mind while reviewing day trading schools, but the truth is that he’s just a blog boy. Let me take you back in time a bit…
When you think about your typical douche bag finance worker from the 1980s, what comes to mind? False confidence, cocaine and bad hair are the first three things that come to mind.
Emmett Moore is the epitome of them all, scamming people since the late 80s.
How can we tell Emmett Moore is a criminal?
Emmett Moore takes pride in scamming people like Jordan Belfort from Wolf of Wall Street.
The movie might as well have been about the criminal named Emmett Moore.
In the quote below, Emmett Moore describes how he got his start in crime by calling it finance:
“I remember one sales call in particular, with a cold call, I talked a home developer in central California to immediately bank wire me $100,000 on nothing more than a phone call. He had no paperwork in hand, and prior to the telephone call had never met me or heard of my company. I remember hanging up the phone, after receiving the confirmation of the bank wire, and thinking to myself how crazy this was. I thought I was some sort of super hero. The entire office of salespeople could hardly believe that I had conned this poor guy out of $100k with only a phone call.”
Furthermore, illegal drugs were a big part of Emmett Moore’s initial criminal spree.
Emmett Moore: Once a Criminal, Always a Criminal
Moore was arrested in California in the early 90s for stealing $600 million from investors.
Emmett Moore’s criminal past is too long for us to fit in this blog post, so this is just the highlights.
In a recent article he wrote on his scam blog (TradeSchools.Org), Moore introduces himself by bragging about his lifetime of cons. Some even call Emmett Moore a con artist.
“The money was so good, and I had such an inflated sense of self that I never really put much though as to whether anyone ever made or lost money. I was only concerned with me,” he says.
The best part about Emmett Moore was how he couldn’t give up his 80s finance guy lifestyle. He literally COULD NOT STOP CONNING PEOPLE.
“In my heart, I knew that I was marked and that eventually I would get caught. But the truth is that I could not let go of the person that I had created. The money, the cars, the lifestyle, the women, the offices, the travel, the jewelry, the managing of over 200 employees. I just could not let it go. I could not walk away.”
Emmett Moore Forced to Find New Crime
Emmett Moore couldn’t stop screwing people over then. Why would he stop being a criminal now?
Eventually, after nearly 10 years of stealing people’s money, this all caught up with him. He was FINALLY arrested in 1998 after stealing $600 million from investors.
“During my 8 year crime spree…the estimate of gross sales should be close to 600 million dollars. Yes, you are reading this correctly…I defrauded investors out of close to 600 million dollars.”
Because he finally got caught, Emmett Moore was no longer allowed anywhere near the stock market. He was literally kicked out of trading.
So how do you make money in the stock market if you’ve been kicked out of the stock market for stealing $600 million?
Emmett Moore Extortion Business
Moore started a blog called TradingSchools.org, where he extorts business owners.
A new trend has been presenting itself within day trading lately. A group of day trading schools has started taking on students and teaching them how to be successful trading their own money.
Being the basic blog boy he is, Emmett Moore created a fake news website to manipulate the general population. This fake news site claims to go through trading schools before reviewing them online.
Emmett Moore saw the success Day Trade Academy was having and knew he’d be able to extort them out of money. In turn, Moore wrote a fake and defamatory blog post about the trading program, where he lies non stop about individual people’s personal history.
He then sent Day Trade Academy a message saying he’d take the post down for a large sum of money wired directly to his account.
This is the absolute definition of extortion. He literally blogs lies and complete nonsense about something he’s never done, then forces the owners to pay him to take it down. Does that sound like a stand up type of business?
Emmett Moore is and will always be a fraud.
Emmett Moore is a Criminal
Moore writes fake news about companies before extorting them out of cash.
Are you going to believe this guy? He does this to literally every trading school there is. It’s the only way he knows how to make money. They guy is a criminal, and frankly, a coward.
Make it a rule to never take a coward‘s word.
